Masters in high-quality leather corporate gifts and sophisticated accessories

Árbol de historia de Bayón Pellicer
First steps in the business journey

Jorge Bayón and Amparo Pellicer, experienced in the sector, give life to Bayón Pellicer, a corporate agenda company. With enthusiasm, hard work, and deep editorial knowledge, they forge one of the main firms in the industry. Their success is affirmed by sealing the first contract with the City Council of Valencia, thus consolidating their prestige in the business sphere.
Consolidation of the company in the market

The company consolidates its position as an approved supplier to multinationals such as Mercedes-Benz, Keraben Grupo, Porcelanosa, Plastic Omnium, and high-level public institutions. Faced with the growth in agenda editions, we make a successful leap into the leather goods sector, leveraging our experience and financial strength.
Growth

We move our offices to Plaza de España in Valencia and, thanks to our growth, establish strategic agreements with suppliers, turning them into inter-suppliers. We centralize handling, picking, and distribution in new facilities in Valencia, raising quality control. This vertical integration prepares us for a future with more competitive times.
A wise decision

In a stage of exceptional sales, the company chose to maintain control with inter-suppliers rather than expand. Although there was consideration to invest and expand production, the investment in machinery was backed without altering the current structure, prioritizing financial stability. Despite considering acquiring facilities and hiring a team in the Sierra de Cádiz, a strategy focused on stability was chosen, resulting in a successful and insightful decision.
Contract Channel

The company chooses to leverage its technical processes to establish a hotel equipment division (oriented to the Contract Channel), thus entering an additional sector that will bring dynamism and mitigate business seasonality.
Second generation of the family business

Ricardo Bayón joins the company as communication manager, leading a project to update the corporate image in line with new market dynamics. Simultaneously, he initiates the website renewal process with the main goal of improving the image and focusing it towards the online channel to enhance the experience of web visitors.
Digital marketing strategy

The impactful results of the new website are evident; a clear example is that 85% of the company's new clients come from the online channel, thanks to successful organic positioning and SEM strategies.
Customer experience

An ambitious project of client portfolio diversification and sectorial treatment is initiated, contemplating the creation of brands for different divisions. The idea of establishing a new company with a renewed image as manufacturers of leather goods for the international market is also under consideration. The first brand, FlexNoteBK, emerges from a project for a prominent multinational in the technology sector, presenting itself as a flexible notebook with the slogan Agile Concepts for Awake Minds.
Global vision strategy for the group

In 2017, everything planned the previous year materializes with the birth of Global Leather Goods, SLU, under the direction of Ricardo Bayón. Additionally, the new editorial brand, Agendas Phant, is introduced. Simultaneously, the project to change facilities begins to increase storage capacity, improve transport communications, and prepare for anticipated business growth.
Business development

Facilities are inaugurated in Picanya (Valencia) and in the La Ventilla industrial estate in Prado del Rey, with an expansion of manufacturing processes. The company expands into the fashion industry, supplying Ralph Lauren, Adidas, and being part of the supply chain for Grupo Inditex. The commercial team is reinforced to meet national demand, and a specialized line for the Contract Channel is created. Additionally, eco-sustainable materials, such as 100% recycled PET fabrics from the ocean, are incorporated. The company establishes internal stock to streamline production and forms a commercial alliance with a prominent Spanish tannery to innovate in leather finishes.
Year 2023

Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the decision of the founders of the company, whose surnames give name to this beautiful project, we changed the corporate image and presented the three divisions on which the company will operate with greater intensity. New catalogues, new website, new products. Bayón Pellicer Contract. Bayón Pellicer Packging. Bayón Pellicer Merchan.

Today

In 1998, two middle-aged entrepreneurs decided to turn their lives around and set up a new project. In 1999 they founded Bayón Pellicer, SL.

Since then, this company, which started out as a publisher of corporate diaries, has been working to position itself in a market dominated by two large companies. However, the effort and perseverance of both of them, their enthusiasm and work capacity, together with their in-depth knowledge of the sector, led them to draw up a strategy that in less than two years would put the company in a solid position to open up the market and gain market share.

Around 2002, the company consolidated its position in the market by working as an approved supplier for large multinational companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Keraben Grupo, Porcelanosa, Plastic Omnium… And highly demanding public institutions.

The number of diary editions grew and we decided to take advantage of our know-how and financial leeway to enter the world of leather goods and make the leap into the leather work sector.

In this process, we began to concentrate our efforts on developing differentiating products and collections, which are consolidated with added value for corporate marketing campaigns and company loyalty.

The line of leather goods is strong enough to diversify into manufacturing for some boutiques and brands.

Meanwhile the publishing division of our corporate diaries continued to grow, fuelled by research into new materials. The link between the two divisions served to create leather editorial products. Agendas of the highest standard. Positioning us as a leading manufacturer of high quality corporate products.

During the following years, between 2004 and 2007, decisions were made in favour of vertical integration. Processes that had been outsourced to specialised suppliers, such as picking, handling, storage and logistical distribution of the product, became an internal process managed in new facilities specifically for this purpose.

In 2008, when sales were better than ever, and all the circumstances were perfect for making the investment and absorbing all the production systems, buying facilities in the mountains of Cadiz and hiring a team of 15 workers plus a production manager, the company’s management decided to maintain a position of control with its inter-suppliers, to present a support for investment in machinery, but to maintain the structure they had until then.

The main reason was linked to the firm idea of having constant fixed costs, easily adaptable to market circumstances. It was a successful, smart decision.

During the next few years, a time of international financial crisis, the company is looking for ways to use current resources for product manufacturing and direct it towards a completely different sector. The Contract channel. This will be the starting point of something that will later gain relevance within the company.

After the new generation joined the company. In 2013, we focused on making a change in communication. We focused on studying new ways of prospecting customers. A strategy to diversify the client portfolio and the product portfolio is proposed under an atomisation approach. The main idea is to avoid customer accounts with too much specific weight in the company’s overall turnover.

A digital marketing strategy is proposed, which soon begins to bear fruit. In 2015, 85% of new customers were leads captured through organic positioning on the internet from the company’s website.

This development, the main strategic pillar on which the subsequent growth and positioning of the company was built, led us to create our own specific brands by product type. This led to the creation of FlexNoteBK®, a corporate notebook company.

In 2017, we founded Global Leather Goods, SL, a company that absorbs the development processes of leather products. Specialising in manufacturing, in the traceability of raw materials and in advising fashion and accessories companies and brands.

In the same year, we created a new brand. A specific publishing imprint for our corporate diaries.

We moved to new premises in Valencia. We moved to Picanya, to a larger industrial facility where we could continue to grow and develop a more ambitious project.

The last 5 years have been a scavenger hunt of exciting, fascinating and daring projects, where we learn from some of the biggest companies in the world how to do things better.

And in 2023, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the decision of the founders of the company, whose surnames give name to this beautiful project, we change the corporate image and present the three divisions on which the company will operate with greater intensity. New catalogues, new website, new products.
